Over
7,000 eager, faithful, excited, true and happy fans
attended "a Noche En Mexico." (A night in
Mexico) mariachi concert. This musical and cultural
extravaganza lit up the night with the most beautiful
sounds in the world, "Mariachi Music." It
was held at the Denver Colisuem on Saturday, November
2, 2002.
Raul
Vasquez, president of Mariachi Vasquez of Colorado began
the festivals with the opening prayer, and from there
Master of Ceremonies Luis Canela from KCEC Univision
Television of Colorado ignited the audience with his
personality, wit, guitar and humor.
The
program featured the outstanding Mariachi Sol De
Mi Tierra of Colorado, Ballet Folklorico de San
Antonio with their colorful costumes entertained
everyone with songs and dances of the Mexican and Spanish
cultures, Mariachi Los Arrierros with vibrant
selections, Mariachi Mujer 2000 a new and talented
array of Mariachi women singers and dancers unveiling
a new millenium of admired and respected women performers,
Mariachi Los Reyes De Mexico includes both men
and women in their successful perfomances, and Colorado's
own Mariachi Family Vasquez, so well loved and
respected in Colorado.
The
night captivated with song, dance, energy, beauty, pride
and love. The staging and choreography was stunning,
magnetic, inspirational and refreshingly pure.
Present
at this musical delight were Attorney General Ken Salazar,
Wanda Padilla, publisher of La Voz Newspapers, Joe Ulibarri,
president of Ulibarri Construction Company, Perry Vasquez,
Presidnet of Planning Center of America, Juan Botero,
Rosa Chacon from Pepsi, Steve Weymieher, Diagtron, Susan
Garcia of Sevilla, Filipi Duran, Miguel Castro, Julie
Guzman, Diedra Patefield, Belinda Rosenberger and many
more.
This
musical spectacle was anight to remember, Viva Mariachi
Musica de Mexico.
